Manufacturers, distributors & builders
You need warranty work done and documented
Nationwide field coverage without building an in-house service organization, with the audit record your obligation depends on.
Homeowners
You have a door or window that needs repair
Under warranty, start with your manufacturer: they dispatch the repair and we carry it out. Out of warranty, or with the part covered but not the labor, we quote foggy glass, door adjustment and other repairs directly. How a warranty visit works for homeowners.

Liability moves away from the manufacturer at every tier
Each layer carries its own indemnity obligations, contractual naming requirements, and retained service documentation. The structure reduces exposure to tort claims and produces documentary evidence of manufacturer due diligence.
- TIER 1
Manufacturer
Receives the warranty claim and issues the work order to UTS, shifting the initial service obligation externally while retaining full oversight and visibility.
- TIER 2
UTS ServicePros
Acts as the indemnified service administrator, deploying vetted independent contractors who carry their own business insurance, under indemnity and recordkeeping obligations that run to the manufacturer.
- TIER 3
Independent contractors
Execute inspections, repairs and replacements with the homeowner, under signed indemnity agreements and documentation requirements that must be met before a job can close.

What a manufacturer is buying
Not just the repair — the record that it happened
- Liability sits with us, contractually
- Every contractor signs an indemnity agreement naming UTS and the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not vicariously liable for field work performed by our network.
- A job cannot close without its documentation
- Before and after photos, diagnostic notes and homeowner sign-off are required by the platform. A Territory Manager reviews the file before the ticket is closed.
- An audit-defensible record, archived
- Each completed job produces a time-stamped PDF, delivered to the manufacturer and retained for warranty audits and claims defense.
- Verified safety, not asserted safety
- A rated in ISNetworld with a RAVS 360 audit, and a workers compensation EMR of 0.59 against a 1.0 industry baseline. Both are independently checkable.
- Compliance re-verified every year
- Background, insurance and licensing are confirmed annually for every contractor in the network — not once at onboarding.

Common questions
- What does UTS ServicePros do?
- UTS ServicePros is a third-party warranty service provider for door and window manufacturers, distributors and builders. When a product fails under warranty, a vetted independent contractor inspects or repairs it at the home on the manufacturer’s behalf, and the manufacturer receives a documented record of the visit. The business was founded in 2007 as United Tech Services, still has its original founders, and operates from Richardson, Texas.
- Where does UTS ServicePros provide service?
- The standing service area is the lower 48 US states and western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba). Alaska and Hawaii have been served on past programs but are not part of the routine footprint.
- Can a homeowner hire UTS ServicePros directly?
- Yes, when the door or window is out of warranty, or when the manufacturer covers the part but not the labor. Request a repair quote with photos of the problem; scope and price are agreed and prepaid before the work is scheduled. If the product is under warranty, start with the manufacturer, who dispatches the repair.
- Who decides whether a door or window is repaired or replaced?
- On a warranty claim, the manufacturer. UTS diagnoses, documents and performs what the manufacturer approves, and contractors are prohibited from promising a homeowner a replacement.
- What repairs does UTS ServicePros perform?
- Component-level door and window repair: insulating glass units with failed seals, casement and awning operators, balances, sash and hardware, weatherstripping, entry door slabs, adjustable sills and corner seal pads, multipoint locks and sliding door rollers. Full unit installation is performed when a manufacturer or builder directs it. UTS does not paint, stain or refinish.
